Frequently asked questions
What happens if my shift crosses midnight?
The calculator detects end times that are earlier than start times and automatically adds 24 hours. A shift from 11:00 PM to 2:00 AM is correctly calculated as 3 hours (minus break).
How do breaks work?
Enter your unpaid break duration in minutes. The total is subtracted from the time between start and end. For example, a 9:00–5:00 shift with a 30-minute break yields 7.5 hours.
Can I save multiple entries?
Yes — entries persist in the browser as long as the page is open. You can add as many entries as you need for a daily total. Data resets on page refresh since everything runs client-side.
