How is the weighted grade calculated?
Each assignment's percentage score is multiplied by its weight. The total weighted score is divided by the total weight percentage assigned. If your assignments only account for 80% of the total weight, the grade reflects only those completed assignments.
What does 'Needed on Remaining' mean?
If you've entered a target grade and your assignments don't add up to 100% weight, we calculate what average percentage you need on the remaining unassigned work to hit your target. If it's over 100%, your target may be unreachable.
What's the difference between 'Current Grade' and 'Overall'?
Current Grade uses weighted percentages — each assignment's contribution is proportional to its weight. Overall is simply total points earned divided by total points possible, which doesn't account for different weights.
